This Cookie Policy explains how MultiPrep ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on multiprep.xyz ("Service"). By using the Service, you consent to the use of cookies as described in this policy.

2. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to website owners.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. They include:

  • Authentication token (Supabase): keeps you logged in during your session
  • CSRF protection token: protects against cross-site request forgery attacks

3.2 Functional Cookies

These cookies remember your preferences to improve your experience:

  • Theme preference: stores your light/dark mode selection
  • Session state: remembers your last position in a practice session
  • Friend invite: a signed, first-party cookie remembers the invite link you opened for up to 7 days. It is removed after account attribution and supports sign-up through Google or email.

3.3 Optional Platform Analytics

Optional page analytics is off by default and can be enabled or disabled in Settings or Levels & Invites. These first-party events are associated with your account and do not use a separate tracking cookie:

  • MultiPrep page paths, excluding query strings and authentication pages
  • Phone or desktop category
  • No typed text, passwords, other tabs or other websites

We do NOT use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party advertising trackers.

4. Third-Party Cookies

MultiPrep does not use payment or advertising cookies for its current free service.

5. Cookie Duration

  • Session cookies: deleted when you close your browser
  • Authentication cookies: expire after 7 days (extended on login)
  • Preference cookies: expire after 365 days
  • Invite cookie: expires after 7 days or is removed after attribution
  • Optional page events: deleted after 90 days; no separate analytics cookie

6. Managing Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View cookies stored on your device
  • Delete existing cookies
  • Block cookies from specific sites
  • Block all third-party cookies

Please note: disabling strictly necessary cookies (particularly authentication cookies) will prevent you from logging in to MultiPrep.
